How to convert vsd to vdw file

It looks like he only way how you can reliably work with .vsd and .vdw files would be to use the original Microsoft Visio tool from which both of these file types originate. Conversion of .vsd (diagrams) to .vdw (web drawings) files seems to be doable though.
