It should be possible to convert PlayStation Video Streams directly to WAVE Audio Files (.str to .wav conversion) using SUPER, a free all-purpose media, audio and video converter, which should allow you to extract audio tracks (WAV) from STR videos.
Alternatively, you will first need to convert STR to AVI, which can be done using utilities, such as PSXVideo or STR Converter. Then you can easily convert AVI to WAV.
