- Go to the official LibreOffice website and download LibreOffice.
- Select the appropriate version for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
- Download the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Open the ODG file in LibreOffice Draw
- Open the LibreOffice application suite.
- Select "Draw" from the list of available applications.
- In LibreOffice Draw, click on File in the top menu.
- Select Open from the dropdown.
- Browse to the location of your ODG file, select it, and click Open.
Export the ODG file as an SVG
- Once the ODG file is open, click on File in the top menu.
- Select Export from the dropdown menu (not to be confused with Save As).
Configure export settings:
- In the export dialog that appears, choose the location where you want to save the SVG file.
- From the Save as type dropdown menu, select SVG - Scalable Vector Graphics (*.svg).
Complete the export:
- Enter a name for your SVG file in the File name field.
- Click Save to export your ODG file as an SVG.
Verify the SVG image
- Navigate to the folder where you saved the SVG file.
- To ensure the conversion was successful, open the SVG file using a web browser or a vector graphics editor (like Inkscape).
Adjust the SVG file if necessary
Fine-tune the SVG:
- If the SVG file doesn't look as expected, you may need to tweak the file using a vector graphics editor like Inkscape.
- Open the SVG in Inkscape, make the necessary adjustments, and save the final version.
