Converting Google Docs Shortcuts directly to OpenDocument Text Files (.gdoc to .odt conversion) is not possible, since the .gdoc file type only contains a link to an actual Google Docs file.
 
You can, however, use your Google Docs shortcut to access the actual document, and to then download the file as an .odt format using the 'File - Download As...' function.
