Your best shot for conversion of CINEMA 4D graphics (.c4d) to 3ds Max formats (.max, .3ds), i.e. c4d to 3ds conversion, would be to use some 3rd party conversion programs with support for this conversion. This is because 3ds Max does not support import of Cinema 4D format without proper plugin (for example Okino). It should be noted that CINAME 4D itself should (at least in some version) possess an export function to 3ds Max formats.
